C-MAC Euroschool 2017: Physical properties I – electrons, phonons and interactions in complex systems will focus on basic physical properties of complex metallic systems. It will take place in Split, Croatian coastal metropolis Croatia. Since physical properties constitute large field in contemporary condensed matter physics, it is planned that physical properties will continue to be the topic of the next year Euroschool 2018: Physical properties II that will take place in Krakow.
This year’s Euroschool is 12th in a row. First five successful schools (starting in 2006) organized by the CMA network of excellence were held in Ljubljana. After that C-MAC continued the practice while shifting event each year to different location in Europe. Euroschool strives to provide a lecture-style background to young scientists, PhD students and graduate students in the field of materials, in particular the physics of new and complex metallic alloys and compounds.
Target audience
Euroschool will be adjusted for PhD students and PostDocs with quite broad research specifications, since this year we focus on quite general aspects of electrons and phonons in complex systems as well as phenomena arising from their interactions.
Registration deadline is extended to August 20th, 2017.
